1100 Aluminum is the most commercially pure alloy of all the aluminum grades. As with other unalloyed aluminum grades, it is used where the intrinsic formability and corrosion resistance is required. 1100 is a low strength aluminum alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, commonlyused in applications such as chemical and food handling, sheet metal, hollowware, heat exchangers and lighting.
